　　1. in that case
　　表示：要是那样的话。如：
　　A：I won‘t go. 我不去了。
　　B：In that case， I won‘t go， either. 既然如此，我也不去了。
　　You have finished， haven‘t you? In that case， you may go. 你已完工了，是不是?既然如此，你可以走了。
　　They may not offer me much money. In that case， I won‘t take the job. 他们也许不会给我许多钱，要是那样的话，我就不干了。
　　2. That‘s [It’s] not the case.
　　用以否定所听到的事情，意为：这并非事实; 情况不是这样的。如：
　　A：He said he‘d waited there for a long time. 他说他在那儿等了很久。
　　B：No， that‘s not the case. 不，情况不是这样。
　　A：It‘s said that all of his money was stolen that night. 据说，那天晚上他所有的钱都被偷了。
　　B：But it‘s not the case. 但情况不是这样。
　　A：Is it the case that you have lost your passport? 你丢了护照，真有此事吗?
　　B：No， that‘s not the case. 不，这不是事实。
