　　从近年上海高考英语卷看能力测试目标
        　　近年来，为适应语言教育和教学观念的变化，配合二期课改的实施，高考英语(上海卷)与时俱进，已从单一的针对语言知识掌握程度的知识性测试向关注学生综合语言运用能力的多样化评价方式转变。为了帮助考生加深对考试手册的理解，以下将从语言测试的目的出发，对高考英语(上海卷)能力测试目标作简要分析。
        　　一、 听的能力
        　　主要测试考生理解口头英语的能力，其考核目标有3项：
        　　(1) 能获取重要的事实信息
        　　(a) 听懂并辨别时间、地点、数字等(注：题前数字为考试年限和试卷题号，下同。)
        　　2003—2
        　　m: the prices at the grocery store have increased a lot. now green beans cost $1.5o a pound.
        　　w: i know. five years ago they were only a third that price.
        　　q: how much did a pound of green beans cost five years ago?

        　　本题考核获取重要的事实信息的能力。从对话中可知豌豆已涨到1.5美元一磅，而五年前，它只有现价的三分之一，所以a选项$0.50为正确答案。
        　　(b) 获取事实信息

        　　(b)听懂根据重音、语调和提示所点明的重要信息

        　　本题考查归纳短文的主旨大意。短文主要是围绕一笔出人意料的巨额小费展开的，文中既没有说这是历史上数目最大的小费，也没有最后付这笔钱的是英国商人，所以b选项为正确答案。
        　　二、读的能力
        　　主要测试考生理解书面英语的能力，其考核目标有5个：
        　　(1) 能理解文章的基本内容
        　　(a) 在文章中寻找事实信息并利用它

        　　(5)能运用阅读技能完成不同文体的阅读任务
        　　主要指阅读各种形式的实用型阅读材料的能力(如：词典、广告、告示、说明书、网页等)。
        　　三、写的能力
        　　主要测试考生的书面表达能力，其考核目标有2个：
        　　(1) 能运用所学的语言知识写出正确的句子(主要指翻译题)
        　　(a)按英语的句子结构表达，不能字字对译

        　　我们的祖国从来没有像今天这样强大。(never…)(结构)
        　　never before has our country been so powerful as it is today.
        　　本题考查否定词never在句首的倒装句。很多考生对选择题型中出现的倒装句判断起来驾轻就熟，但是要用倒装形式来表达就不行了。大部分考生虽然都将never放在句首，但是never strongly is…,never have …,never strong was ….,never has our motherland been stronger …, …like it is today 等语法错误很普遍。另一些考生根本就没有按要求使用倒装结构，例如：our motherland never stronger like what it is today. our country has never been so strong as today.

        　　我没有想到汤姆会被选为学生会主席。(occur)(动词)
        　　it never occurred / didn’t occur to me that tom would / should be elected / made chairman of the students’ union.
        　　此题考查动词occur表示“想到，想起”的用法。正确结构应该是sth. occur to sb. that… 一些考生没有掌握动词的这一用法，将句子错译成it was not occurred to me that…或i never occurred that…还有相当一部分考生不能正确拼写occur的过去时，没有双写字母r。另有一些考生将学生会错译成the students’ club。
        　　2002-3
        　　如果方便的话，请帮我从邮局取回包裹。(convenient)(形容词)
        　　if (it is ) convenient, please fetch me the parcel from the post office / please go to the post office and fetch me the parcel.
        　　此题考查形容词convenient 的用法。convenient 一般不以人作主语，大部分考生都能正确使用convenient的句型。但是有些考生将“如果方便的话”错译成if you are convenient,甚至还有一些考生将“邮局”错译成post store.
        　　(b)用所学的语言知识，灵活地表达一些成语
        　　2003-1.
        　　请尽早做出决定，不然你会坐失良机(or)(成语)
        　　please make up your mind / make your decision as early as possible / you can, or you’ll miss the good / golden chance / opportunity.
        　　本题考查句子结构。括号中的or 提示用“祈使句+or ……”的句型来翻译中文意思。“祈使句+or ……”是个并列结构，表示：做……，否则(要不然)……。句中的“坐失良机”应该译成miss the good / golden chance / opportunity,而不能直译成miss the chance when you sit.
        　　(2) 能根据题意，连贯、贴切地进行书面表达(主要指写作题)
        　　能用连贯的句子将题目要求的内容充实完整地表达出来。近年来写作体裁所要求的写作技能主要有：
        　　(a) 简单描述与表达观点(2002)
        　　(b) 比较证据或观点(2001)
        　　(c) 劝说和建议(2003)
        　　(d) 解释图表并说明原因(2002春)
