dozen 指"12”，score 则表示"20"，通常用dozens of 或 scores of 来表示“许多”。
He says he won't go there because he has been there dozens of times.
他说那里已去过好多次，所以这次就不去了。
I have been there scores of times.
我去过那里好多好多次。
注意：
1、dozen 和 score 表示精确数字时不能用复数形式。
比较：several dozens of eggs
two dozen of eggs  [表精确数目，dozen用单数]
2、用作前置定语时，均须用单数，如：
many dozen of bottles of coca-cola 许多瓶可口可乐
four score and ten years 90 岁
3、要表示“十多个……”及“二十多个……”时，可用“a dozen or more……” 及 “a score or more……”：
A dozen or more students attended the seminar.
A score or more ( 或 Two dozen or more ) scholars attended the symposium.
